Biografía
Tras estudiar interpretación en el Actor's Studio de Nueva York se lanzó a los escenarios teatrales. Fue con la obra "Un tranvía llamado deseo" (que más tarde fue adaptada al cine y protagonizada por él mismo) con la que consiguió el éxito.
Marcó un estilo y se convirtió en líder de una generación; su rebeldía y dureza hicieron que se sustituyera el tipo de galán romántico tradicional.
En 1950 hizo su primer trabajo para la pantalla grande con "Hombres". Su papel en "La ley del silencio" le reportó su primer Oscar que le fue entregado por Bette Davis.
Poco después Marlon Brando se sintió desencantado con el cine (llegó a decir que lo que más le importaba era el dinero), empezó a ser impuntual, a no aprenderse los diálogos y entró en un lento declive. Su recuperación le vino de la mano de "El padrino" de Francis Ford Coppola que volvió a colocarlo en la élite y que le dio su segundo Oscar. Este resurgir se confirmó con "Apocalypse Now" también de Coppola y "El último tango" (su interpretación más conflictiva).
Casado varias veces con mujeres exóticas y padre de numerosos hijos, Brando ha cultivado siempre una imagen de marca indefinible
Últimamente hace colaboraciones y papeles secundarios y vive aislado, lejos del mito que encarnó en épocas anteriores, saliendo sólo en contadas ocasiones y debidos a acuciantes problemas económicos, para realizar pequeños papeles en películas.
Fue nominado también por sus papeles en las películas "Un tranvía llamado deseo", "¡Viva Zapata!" y "Julio César".
Consiguió también una nominación como mejor actor secundario por su papel de abogado en la película "Una árida estación blanca".

Al Pacino - Michael Corleone
La década de los setenta dio una nueva generación de actores al cine. Entre ellos, Al Pacino ha desarrollado una carrera brillante donde casi no hay compromisos o los films realizados sólo por dinero. Con una vida privada discreta y un enorme amor por el teatro, aquí está el señor que fue Padrino.
Biografía
En 1971, una película de Jerry Schatzberg reveló a un actor único en una generación que no se caracterizaba especialmente por los galanes. El film era Pánico en el parque; el actor era Alfredo James "Al" Pacino y ese comienzo brillante fue una premonición.
Pacino fue observado inmediatamente por el señor Francis Ford Coppola, quien le dio el rol de Michael Corleone en esa cima cinematográfica llamada El Padrino, donde quedaba perfectamente parado al lado de Marlon Brando y se ganó automáticamente una nominación al Oscar. No fue injusto que se lo llevara el impresionante Vito de Brando: una derrota de ese tipo es un premio.
Pacino no era un superjovencito: tenía más de 30 años cuando llegó a la fama. Nació en 1940 en el Bronx neoyorquino, de padres italianos. Cuando sus padres se divorciaron, su pasatiempo era repetir líneas de películas. A los 20 se fue de casa y fue, literalmente, un lúmpen que robaba para tomar el colectivo. Hasta que llegó al Actor's Studio de Lee Strasberg. En esa época, compartía un departamento con su gran amigo -y también pobre- Gene Hackman.
Así que el papel del drogón miserable Bobby de Pánico... tenía mucho de él mismo. Y sus raíces italianas fueron determinantes para la fuerza de su rol en El Padrino. Tras ese film, haría otro film de lúmpenes, Espantapájaros -con Hackman- y el impresionante Sérpico, que le dio otra nominación al Oscar.
De hecho, entre 1972 y 1975 estuvo nominado todos los años. En total, y hasta que terminó ganando el premio por uno de sus peores films (Perfume de mujer, de Martin Brest), acumuló ocho nominaciones. Bueno, al menos ya lo tiene.
El Padrino II es, para muchos, una cima del arte cinematográfico de todos los tiempos. Allí compartía en contrapunto el protagónico con Robert De Niro, un impresionante Vito Corleone joven (adivinen quién ganó el Oscar de los dos). Tan fuerte fue esa actuación que determinó que los primeros dos Padrinos... fueran la primera saga en ganar, cada una de sus partes, el Oscar a Mejor película.
Los '70 son el período con sus actuaciones más formidables y su gran pareja: Diane Keaton, con quien estuvo más de una década (después se casaría con Beverly D'Angelo; hoy está soltero pero no solterón). En lo profesional, el hombre dio vida a personajes muy complejos que se hacían comprensibles inmediatamente al espectador.
Allí están el ladrón fallido de Tarde de Perros, el abogado con demasiada honestidad de Justicia para todos, y el detective que descubre sus oscuridades en el mundo de la homosexualidad masoquista de Cruising (destruida por las tijeras en la Argentina de la dictadura).

Biografía
Los padres de Caan, del origen hebreo, llegaron a los Estados Unidos provenientes de Alemania.
Su vida ha estado marcada por los deportes violentos. Es cinturón negro en kárate y durante años participó en circuitos de rodeo. Además en los '90 confesó que llevaba veinte años consumiendo cocaína.
Nacido en el Bronx y criado en Queens, Nueva York, Caan supo desde muy joven que no quería seguir los pasos de su padre ni trabajar en la empresa familiar. A los dieciséis años, se matriculó en la Universidad del Estado de Michigan para estudiar económicas e incorporarse al equipo de fútbol. Pasó luego a la Universidad de Hofstra para estudiar Derecho, y durante unas vacaciones de primavera pasó una prueba para la Stanford Meisner´s Neighbourhood Playhouse, en la que ingresó poco después.

Biografía
Robert Duvall nace en San Diego, California, USA el 5 de enero de 1931.
Hijo de un almirante, después de pasar dos años en la guerra de Corea, se estableció en Nueva York, donde toma clases en la escuela dramática Neighborhood Playhouse, comenzando a actuar en pequeños teatros y poco a poco en los grandes de Broadway.
Debutó en el cine en 1962 en To kill a Mockingbird, interpretando al vecino débil de carácter de Gregory Peck, aunque luego ha desempeñado una gran variedad de personajes, destacando por su carácter y por su facilidad por integrarse sin atraer la atención sobre sí mismo, lo que le convierte actualmente en uno de los actores más buscados para papeles de carácter y de apoyo.
También se ha lanzado a la dirección en algunas ocasiones, con We're Not the Jet Set, Angelo My Love, The Apostle y The Assassination Tango.
Estuvo casado con Barbara Benjamin (1964-1975), Gail Youngs (1982-1986) y con Sharon Brophy (1991-1996). Desde 1997 vive con Luciana Pedraza.

Biografía
Fue educada en el Santa Ana College de California y recibió formación profesional en el Neighborhood Playhouse de Nueva York.
La primera vez que se subió a un escenario lo hizo para participar en los coros del musical "Hair".
Su primer papel importante le llegó cuando Woody Allen la escogió para actuar junto a él en una obra teatral, "Sueños de un seductor". Poco después esta relación profesional pasó al plano sentimental y Diane Keaton formó pareja del reputadísimo actor y director. A partir de entonces ella se convertiría en su musa y en la actriz principal de las producciones de Allen. Incluso después de finalizar su relación, Diane Keaton ha sido una presencia casi obligatoria en todos los rodajes de Woody Allen.
Su carrera alcanzó su punto álgido durante la década de los setenta con la película "El padrino" de Francis Ford Coppola (más tarde intervendría en las dos siguientes películas de la saga). El mismo año de "El padrino" rodó la versión cinematográfica de la obra "Sueños de un seductor" a las órdenes de Woody Allen
En 1977 le fue concedido un Oscar por "Annie Hall" película a la que prestó su propio apellido.
Hasta el momento ha sido nominada dos veces más al galardón, la primera de ellas por la película "Rojos", dirigida y protagonizada por Warren Beaty. La segunda vez por el drama "La habitación de Marvin".
En 1987 Diane Keaton debutó como realizadora de una producción llamada "Heaven". Además de su carrera de actriz es también una reputada fotógrafo y directora de televisión. De su vida sentimental hemos de destacar un rumor acerca de su sonado romance con el también actor Al Pacino.

Biografía
Andy García nació el 12 de abril de 1956 en La Habana, Cuba. Hijo de un abogado cubano, salió en 1961 para instalarse en Miami. Estudió en la Universidad Internacional de Florida y tras graduarse se mudó a Los Angeles en busca de un oportunidad, donde estuvo trabajando en diversos oficios: como camarero y como botones en el Hotel Beverly Hilton.
Su primer trabajo artístico le llegó con la famosa serie televisiva "Canción triste de Hill Street" (1985). Tras esta primera toma de contacto con el mundo de la interpretación comienza en el cine con papeles pequeños en los que su origen latino se funde con sus personajes. La primera película en la que participa se tituló "A night in heaven" (1983) a la que siguieron otros títulos destacables como "Black Rain" (1989) de Ridley Scott. Pero su verdadero reconocimiento tanto a nivel nacional como internacional lo consiguió al intervenir en la película de Francis Ford Coppola, "El Padrino III".
Podemos decir que él es el verdadero precursor del 'boom' latino en norteamérica y durante la práctica totalidad de la década de los ochenta fue el único representante del latin lover en la industria cinematográfica hollywoodiense. Quizás en los años noventa su intensidad de trabajo haya disminuido con la aparición de nuevos talentos latinos como el internacional actor español Antonio Banderas.
En 1996 estuvo España para rodar "Muerte en Granada", un largometraje en el que dio vida al poeta andaluz "Federico García Lorca".
Lleva casado muchos años con María Victoria con la que tiene tres hijos Dominik, Daniella y Alessandra, aunque debido a la gran protección que ejerce sobre su familia y privacidad poco ha trascendido de su vida personal. Es conocida su afición por la música cubana y ha hecho sus pinitos en este campo actuando en conciertos de algún músico amigo.
Su atractivo físico y su aspecto de caballero apuesto y sobrio le han facilitado en más de una ocasión el trabajo.
